A Basket Made for One Person

A proper basket, built around who they are and what's happened, with real things in it.

$200

What this is

A full basket, put together for one person and one situation. Something to read that's genuinely useful, food that's good to eat, a candle from an Island maker, and the small practical things people reach for at eleven at night. You tell us at checkout who it's for and what's happened, and we build from there. A teenager, a widow, a man whose wife is in treatment and a house with young children in it all get different baskets. Packed by hand with your handwritten card. You can hold it for a date you choose.

What's included

  • A book or resource chosen for their situation
  • Food worth eating, from Island makers where we can
  • A candle made on PEI
  • Practical comforts chosen for the person
  • Packed by hand in a basket worth keeping
  • Can be held for a date you choose
  • Handwritten card with the giver's message.

Why this helps

Sympathy baskets are mostly packaging around things nobody eats, and four of them turn up in the same week. This is the other way round. Fewer, better things, chosen for a person rather than for an occasion, arriving whenever you decide rather than in the first week alongside everything else.
