What this is

Sixty unhurried minutes by video or phone, one to one with Trish, booked directly by the person receiving it.

This is companioning, not therapy. There is no assessment, no diagnosis, no homework and nothing to be brave about. It is an hour where grief gets to take up room, out loud, with someone who has sat with a great deal of it and is not frightened by any of it.

Where the hour goes is theirs to choose. Integrating a loss into a life that has to keep going. Learning how to care for themselves while they are the one holding everyone else up. The exhausting practicalities that arrive with a death: what an executor is actually responsible for, what to say to the people who keep asking, how to get through the first birthday. Or the quieter work that almost nobody offers: designing a ritual that means something, planning a legacy project, deciding how a person will be remembered and by whom.

They leave with something to hold: a next step, a small ritual, words for the thing they could not say. Grief-informed and trauma-informed throughout, and if what they truly need is clinical care, we say so plainly and help them find it. Available anywhere.

What's included

  • One full sixty-minute session, one to one by video or phone
  • Booked directly by the recipient, whenever they feel ready
  • Grief tending, self-care while caregiving, and the practical weight of what comes next
  • Executor and after-death admin support, in plain language
  • Legacy projects, ritual design and remembrance planning if they want it
  • A written summary or next step afterward, if they would like one
  • Non-clinical companioning, never therapy, with an honest referral if that is what is needed
  • No expiry on when they use it
  • A handwritten Fare-Well card with your message, and a memorial birdseed ornament.
  • Your card and ornament are posted separately, so something still arrives at the door.

Why we chose this

Most people have nobody to talk to who isn't also grieving the same person or waiting to be reassured. An hour with someone outside the family costs the person nothing emotionally, which is the point.
